1. Do Tiger Barbs need a heated aquarium?
2. If they need a heated aquarium, can you list alot of fish that don't need their water heated please?

Yep...they are tropical fish and need a heater.  You are going to have a really hard time finding non tropical fish that will fit into a small tank.  Unless you live near the equator, most people simply can't afford to keep their homes at a steady 78* year around so that their fish tank stays at that temp.

Paradise Gouramis and White clouds come to mind.  After that research, research, research.

Yeah...but this is for a 5g tank Jared....a biorb at that.  I've always kept my paradise fish in heated tanks too (heated to 76* or so).

I'm not getting a biORB, I am getting the eclipse. And by the way, the baby biORB is 4 gallons not 5.

This is why it's best to keep everything in one thread....minimizes confusion.  Let's keep everything about this tank in the original thread.
